MARK YOUR CALENDARS: PINEWOOD DERBY IS GOING TO BE ON A TUESDAY, MARCH 2ND AT 6:30pm. The Official Weigh in is on February 26Th at 3:30pm when we do the scouting for food. The cars will remain in our possession until race day.
Good news: Dave Wieda, our committee chair and experienced cub scout leader, has offered to host a Pinewood Derby workshop at his home on Saturday, Feb 13Th from 9:00am til noon, or until your son’s car is ready! He has saws, sanding equipment, some paint (you might want to go get the exact colors your son wants: Hobby Lobby—online coupons weekly: www.hobbylobby.com) . He has scales to weigh the car (there are some specific rules about weight) and also can advise on adding weight to your car.
